The fascinating life of Chicago newspaperman turned legendary playwright, screenwriter and novelist, Ben Hecht takes center stage at Temple Beth-El in Rockford. Written and performed by James Sherman and directed by Dennis Začek, the play is based on Ben Hecht's books, A Guide For the Bedeviled and A Child Of the Century, in which Hecht confronts his own identity as an American Jew in the wake of the Nazi Holocaust

Chef Laura Frankel


We had a lively and informative workshop with Laura Frankel on Sunday, October 15th. She talked about cooking techniques using Slow Cookers and an Instant Pot Fast Cooker, She presented several recepies and cooking tips. Laura Frankel is a respected kosher chef and mother of three teenagers. Her presentation was very entertaining and was enjoyed by everyone attending of all ages.
